In Awards and Recognition, News, Our Team

Chico, CA – Great Place to Work Institute has honored Butte Home Health and Hospice with official certification as a Great Place to Work. The certification process considered employee surveys of more than 87% of BHH&H employees. Great Place to Work, an independent research and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter their position or what they do. Butte Home Health and Hospice scored an amazing 97% on the “Trust Index”, which serves as the overall rating earned.

Highlights from the survey include the questions:

  • I’m proud to tell others I work here: 100% answered YES
  • I feel good about the ways we contribute to the community: 100% answered YES
  • When you join the company, you are made to feel welcome: 100% answered YES

“Butte Home Health and Hospice has created a culture all its own, and we’re proud that we are recognized for being a great place to work” said Robert Love, Executive Director. “Our team is compassionate, collaborative, and amazing at what they do. They support each other, and in turn, our organization is here to support them with the goal of offering the best in patient care. We’ve grown to nearly 90 team members of nurses, therapists, aides, social workers, and other caring professionals so it’s a real honor to receive this recognition, especially during the pandemic. Our vision is to constantly improve as we grow, and our team is ready for the challenge.”

Even though the agency has served Northern California for over 35 year, Butte Home Health and Hospice spent the last 3 years focused on adding the right team members, training and education, and shaping the organization for growth in the future. With the right team in place, BHH&H was able to emerge as a “go-to” partner for other health care organizations in the community, delivering great care with high patient satisfaction rates.
