To her and to many, this is because of the holistic approach of hospice care that focuses on enhancing patients\u2019 quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our staff spends time providing and connecting the aspects of the physical, social, and spiritual needs of the whole person. It is a collaborative approach where our professionals communicate between disciplines regularly so that the team has a complete picture of the patient\u2019s care.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an article she provided for the Journal of Palliative Care, Dr. Schroll states, \u201cHospice care allows me to spend time with the patients, using my skills of listening, a critical consideration when I chose to work in this area.\u201d She also states, \u201c<em>I especially like the team-based model of care, sharing a mission for serving others. I also appreciate the approach to caring for mind, body, spirit<\/em>.\u201d To all of us at Butte Hospice, hearing and understanding patients\u2019 stories and providing the best comfort care possible is what it\u2019s all about.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am grateful to have found something that suits me better,\u201d says Dr. Schroll in her concluding statements.
