Recent news about the closure of Enloe Health’s Home Health and Hospice services has understandably raised concern in our community. Headlines referencing “health service cuts” have prompted many to ask: What will this mean for families in Chico and the surrounding areas who rely on home-based care?

At Butte Home Health, we want to be clear:
This change will not reduce access to care. It will increase it.

We are proud to share that Butte Home Health has been named a Preferred Provider by Enloe Health. That means as Enloe transitions away from offering home health and hospice directly, they are entrusting us—an established, local, Medicare-certified provider—to care for their patients going forward.

What This Means for the Community

We are expanding.
We are hiring.
And we are ready.

This is not a contraction of services—it’s a strategic handoff to a provider deeply rooted in this region, fully equipped to meet increased demand, and committed to delivering the same level of excellence families expect from Enloe.

Our nurses, therapists, aides, and support staff are working hard every day to ensure a seamless transition for patients and families. We’re increasing our staffing to meet the growing need, and we’ve opened our doors to Enloe team members who may be looking for new career opportunities with an organization that shares their mission.
